Topic cluster

A topic cluster is a way of organizing content around a subject: one broad pillar page that covers a topic at a high level, surrounded by focused cluster pages that each go deep on a subtopic, all linked back to the pillar and to each other.
Why it works
It signals topical authority. A search engine (and an AI answer engine) sees a well-linked, thorough treatment of a subject instead of a scattering of unconnected posts, which builds confidence that you are an authority on it. The internal links also spread ranking signals and guide readers deeper into your content.
How to build one
Pick a broad topic you want to be known for, and write the pillar page.
Identify the specific questions and subtopics beneath it, and write a focused page for each.
Link every cluster page up to the pillar, and the pillar down to each cluster.
